Startled & upset every day ? Wisdom beforehand
I had gone to see off my family at the railway station . It was easy for my family to board in because I knew the coach number & the position where the coach would halt. I knew the coach would come to a particular position beforehand. If I didn’t have that information , I would have to struggle, run or in worst case scenario even miss the train. Its only an example to illustrate when situations or people pass by in our daily life encounters. If we carry a God's wisdom beforehand about the situation or a person we encounter , it will be easy for us to board on to it or reconcile with them. But many a times, we panic, struggle or become uncontrollable with the situation, others & ourselves. Its because we couldn’t carry a wisdom beforehand about where the train would come & stop . We can find true meaning of the situation only if we had that wisdom before hand or else the situation or person would become atrocious & awful to us. Without that wisdom our mind at that moment tends to gather all negativity & helplessness. We get startled and upset all the time . If we had that wisdom, we can board in and comprehend with the situation or person at ease . Furthermore we would also be able to give meaning to the other person & show them the light .
Joseph told his brothers in Gen 45 that they don’t have to get distressed , because he possessed a wisdom beforehand about his brothers & the situation, thats why he could say , “ it was God who sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth “…..Gen 45:5 . This allowed him to accept his brothers with Love and joy. He was neither startled & nor upset when he met them. Wisdom beforehand is the actual truth & will of God in any situation. Instead of being judgemental with them he could experience Joy, peace & love. All our situations & encounters can fill us with Joy and peace if we gather a wisdom beforehand.

Abraham could sacrifice his own son, because he could gather beforehand a wisdom about God himself.
Paul could understand the prison & his chains , because he could gather beforehand a wisdom about the situation & the people.
Searching for the lost boy Jesus at the feast of passover, Mary when she saw Him at the temple, asked Jesus, “Son why did you treat us like this?” Jesus already had a wisdom before hand to give meaning to the situation & to Mary, Luke 2:49, He replied, Didn’t you know that “ I must be in my Father’s House?
For God no situation or people is alarming or awful. God doesn’t get startled or upset . He possess a wisdom beforehand about everthing . God himself is source of Wisdom. The wisdom becomes His master worksman . God possessed wisdom beforehand – says Prov8:22 ““The LORD possessed me(WISDOM) at the beginning of His way, Before His works of old. 23 From everlasting I was established, From the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth. 30 Then I was beside Him, [as] a master workman; And I was daily [His] delight, Rejoicing always before Him, 31 Rejoicing in the world, His earth, And [having] my delight in the sons of men”

Which was first- God’s wisdom or his Creation? God created the world with his wisdom .
God's Wisdom always exists eternally before any of our situation . Where does our mind latch on to first, Is it the Situation or the Wisdom ? Think about it ….. Do we ask God for His wisdom ?

Gathering wisdom beforehand an encounter with anyone or a situation brings in peace, joy , meaning, purpose & also makes us a master worksman in that moment.Even sufferings ,shame, pain , disease and atrocities give us meaning & purpose if we possess a wisdom beforehand. This beforehand wisdom becomes a mediator in all our encounters & situations. Jesus was not startled or upset about the cross- Wisdom beforehand.

What happens when God’s Wisdom beforehand becomes a Mediator ?
It acts like a ready made bridge connecting us to the situation .The result - Life becomes meaningful, fulfilled & reconciled. “For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity–the man Christ Jesus.” 1Tim 2:5
Mat 6: 26 Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
If you have noticed the birds , they are most active in the early mornings. They receive their food mostly in the mornings. They are busy gathering food early morning . In our busy lives, this verse plays a big role. When do we approach God for his Word. Is it when we face the situation ? Jesus says …., Our approach should be like the birds. If we approach our Father with the start of a day, he gives us the food to face all the situations for that particular day. Then we are well equipped to face the whole day with the spiritual food gathered early morning . Are you not of more value than they? Wisdom to be gathered at the start of a day .

In my last trip to India 2015, on my way from the airport to my house, I was sharing God’s wisdom with the hindu cab driver Jiby. He was having continuous cough and issues with the throat for quite a few years. God gave me an example to interact. Supposing Jiby wanted to go Madurai and he doesn’t know the route . I try to rent my services , by taking him to Madurai in two ways . In the first way he is taken blindfolded & in the second - the same journey with his eyes open. In both the journeys he could achieve his goal of reaching Madurai. Asked him like which one would he enjoy.. He gave the right answer – “ With eyes open .” What was the true difference between the 2 journeys. With his eyes open, he could gather a wisdom on how to reach Madurai. Hence he could equip himself from that time onwards to take anyone to Madurai hereafter. He got a new wisdom. Asked him what was important to him – the destination or the wisdom to reach the destination ? What do we pray for ? – Our needs or the wisdom for our needs? What did Solomon pray for ? Why was God pleased with Solomon’s answer ? Solomon prayed for wisdom . I asked Jiby to pray for God’s wisdom for his healing . Miraculously he witnessed after a month that he was completely healed. He could glorify God after all this- what a joy….when we pray for God’s wisdom. God wants to give us something better than our need- His wisdom which will empower us & make us like him in wisdom and image.
We can then board in any train or encounter any people or situation & enjoy the journey of life. Life is a train of thoughts to be driven by Gods Wisdom beforehand. In the New Zealand, United States and Canada, train drivers are known as "locomotive engineers". We need to be locomotive engineers rather than just drivers…
